Update

Since I last posted, I've been busy:

• Got married, had a baby
• Bought a house, sold a house, moved

I forgot all about this blog in the meantime, but I'm ready to return to it. I still want to read the bible cover to cover. I have no idea why I want to do this, but I do. So let's get back on it, shall we?

01/31/2013 edit:  I've been trying to trudge through Deuteronomy and it is dreadful in every way. I did some reading about Deuteronomy, and apparently it's just a big rehash of Moses' conversations with God and a repetition of the laws. By the end of the book, the group is in the same location on their trek to Canaan as they were in verse 1. I find this very disheartening. I wonder if I will ever, ever finish the good book. Hopefully I live to be 500 or 600 years old like some of these bible folk.
